“Teen Talaq” – In 21st century?

In 21st century where MAN reached to the moon and WOMAN is still thought as just an element for generic reproduction necessity.

Teen Talaq

Teen talaq is : If the husband pronounces the phrase talaq 3 times to his wife.

A phenomenon that’s running through ages when the islamic religion arise. It is a tradition of medieval age that we still practice now in the 21st century where MAN reached to the moon and beyond and WOMAN is still thought as just an element for generic reproduction necessity. Just a single word repeated three times in frustration along with two witness can make a wife turn to “Divorced” stamped woman Stop teen talaq.

What holy book QURAAN says?

When marriage needs to be done so legally why not stop this barbaric practice of ancient ages and come to a legal point where only the man don’t have full rights to break down a marriage singlehandedly. Still now in suburbs where muslim women were not so privileged to be educated and taught by elders and “imams” that there is written in their holy book of gods teachings brought by prophet muhammed, that it is written that polygamy for men is okay but for women its not, man has the total right on the marriage but women don’t. although there is nothing written like that in the holy book QURAAN.

Because of this tradition the husbands have the total rights to abuse their power to simply win over an argument from the wife or just because he is not liking the married one anymore and seeing others while women are victimized in this unruly highly judgmental country like India, Afganistan , Pakistan etc. Like the western countries , these countries just cant take divorce matter so lightly.

Its an issue of scar on character , they are looked upon as the dark side of the society. In this hell do we still need to think that burning up a marriage is just so easy for the women?

In my perspective of life and walking together I don’t think this Teen Talaq tradition is reasonable enough to suit in our society and our country. I think this tradition had its time and now its over.
